Watch Ontology directly on YouTube (Spanish)An introduction to the topic
We talk about trees, numbers, memories and promises as if they all existed in the same way. Ontology invites us to pause over that assumption: it asks what kinds of things there are and how they relate. A simple question can open the discussion: does a promise exist in the same way as the paper on which we write it? The paper serves as an example of an entity; its colour, of a property; and the obligation between the person making and the person receiving the promise, of a relation, without treating the debate as settled. The proposed reference explores different ways of framing these questions.
